We Are In This Together

As the new school year begins, you may have questions regarding the San Francisco enrollment process and how to find the right place for your family. Given our team's expertise in enrollment and school choice and equity, Parents for Public Schools of San Francisco is here to help with resources, workshops, and an amazing Parent Ambassador program. San Francisco families have a unique opportunity to rank their choices and apply for any relevant school or program in the district. But having a choice can also be a burden. There are over 110 elementary schools and programs in the SFUSD, and it can be quite time-consuming to seek out the schools that will best fit your family’s educational and logistical needs. Just like we have been a strong and constant pillar for 23 years, Parents for Public Schools of San Francisco is here to walk with you through this process.

The Parents for Public Schools of San Francisco Parent Ambassador is a public-school parent who has volunteered to speak to other parents about their child’s school. Many parents find it helpful to get another parent’s perspective about a school and to learn much more about a school than what can be found on the school’s website or seen on a school tour. To learn more and get involved with a Parent Ambassador, Email ambassadors@ppssf.org and specify which schools interest you. You can also mention if you have a particular concern, and Parents for Public Schools of San Francisco can connect you with a Parent Leader with insight about that issue. Some topics that parents have questions about include special education, afterschool programs, language pathways, and diversity.
